"ST.Petersburg" channel broadcast about TPV plant: "getting detailed analytics, following all the production process in the online mode and immediately see the defects, product tracking literally to the moment of its disposal
25.11.2016

All this is possible at TPV plant in St. Petersburg, after the company has been "digitized". Every detail is now a part of the information system. This control provides huge cost savings."

TPV group of companies possesses 36 percent share in the world market for the production of monitors. In 2011 the company started a plant in St. Petersburg, and today this site is one of the leaders in the city for innovation implementation.

Why upgrade is profitable and what "digitization" of the enterprise is, Anastasia Petruk has learned.

Getting detailed analytics, following all the production process in the online mode and immediately see the defects. All these are possible at TPV plant in St. Petersburg, after the company has been "digitized". Every detail is now a part of the information system. This control provides huge cost savings.

Blazej Bernard Reiss, CEO of TPV CIS: “With turnover of 30-50 million dollars a month at the component warehouse, we have a discrepancy of 700 rubles, or $5-7, depending on the exchange rate, so it is unique enough, a good indicator, because we protect our customers’ goods. I believe that a plant warehouse, a plant in general should be like a bank. "

TPV company specializes in the development, manufacturing and after-sales service of Phillips, Dofler, Harper and DEXP LCD panels. Assembly process requires a high culture of materials handling, each operator movement is precisely worked out.

Anastasia Petruk, reporter: "Now we will go through an electrostatic test, which any operator performs before proceeding with the work."

The entire production cycle takes only 30 minutes. Supply components, which are assembled in a new product, come from Southeast Asia. The product is then tested and sent to the customer through the warehouse of finished products.

Anastasia Petruk, reporter: "This is a long test station for TVs, they are tested for two days here at different temperature and humidity”.

Contract assembly is not an easy business: a lot of quality requirements, no super profits. Now TPV group of companies owns 10 plants around the world. Only one of them is running in Russia. The decision to build a plant in Shushary was made after a thorough analysis of project economics.

Blazej Bernard Reiss, CEO of TPV CIS: «Even if in the province of Russia we would get low enough rates for the work, the service of materials streams and finished products there are very expensive. We made this decision weighing these two fundamental factors,. "

The company managed to succeed at its plant in St. Petersburg by a thorough analysis of the processes and the introduction of innovative digital solutions. As experts say, in the future, such standards should be the norm for all of the advanced enterprises. Otherwise it will be simply impossible to win the competition.
